Graduations are the most humbling and gratifying experiences in some of the Learning & Development work that we do in partnership with Service Providers and our employees. This month we celebrated 48 Vector Trade Marketing employees from Inland, Cape Town and our Eastern Cape regions who graduated the NQF 2 Wholesale and Retails Operations Certificate.
“Seeing our employees in their graduation regalia brings us such great pride. We see the evidence of lives changed and bright futures. We thank all of our employees for staying the course during a very difficult and challenging time in the world”, says Annelie Govender the HR Director of Vector Logistics.
Graduation ceremonies were conducted in all major cities over the course of the month. With key note deliveries from Vector Logistic Sales Director, Mark Clayton, as well as Mpume Nkuna, the HR Business Partner for VTM. Mpume opened up the sessions with a quote from Richard Bach, the quote reminded the learners that they are never given a dream without the power to make to happen, and as they graduated on the 19th May, the next steps towards their careers and future belonged to them.
Mark Clayton encouraged the learners to take opportunities within the business in order to develop themselves further.
Each session was filled with great emotions, pride and a huge amount of joy from the learners.
When asked about how the learners found the process of studying, this is what some learners had to say:
‘’ The process was hard, the course seemed easy until you encounter the paperwork!’’
‘’Now that we have done the learnership, I believe we can do more’’
‘’We are glad to see females in the learnership. ‘’
To the class of 2018, our hats go off to you, well done on persevering against all odds, we are so proud of you all, you have raised the flag and made us all proud! Continue to fly the Vector Logistics flag high, Phambili!
