Meet Our Team: Kasavan Naicker
1. What three words would you use to describe yourself?
Ambitious, Innovative, Collaborative.
2. How would you describe your day job to a child?
I must make sure everyone at Vector gets paid on time and correctly—because nobody likes missing their pocket money! I also help make work easier by using cool tech to fix problems.
3. Why did you choose to be part of the Vector Logistics’ team?
Vector is all about innovation, growth, and working with great people. I wanted to be part of a team that’s always looking for ways to improve and make a difference.
4. What excites you about this role?
The opportunity to drive meaningful change, improve efficiencies, and leverage technology to make a difference in people’s daily work. Seeing the impact of these improvements firsthand is what excites me the most.
5. How would you describe a high-performance organisation?
It’s a place where everyone knows their role, works together, and keeps pushing to be better every day—kind of like a championship sports team!
6. How do you keep yourself/your team motivated?
By creating a culture of support, recognition, and growth. I encourage open conversations, celebrate wins—big or small—and ensure we always have a clear vision of the impact our work has on the business.
7. Do you have a mentor/coach?
Yes, I have a few. I believe mentorship is essential for growth. Learning from experienced leaders has helped shape my approach to leadership, problem solving, and innovation.
8. Given a chance, who would you like to be for a day?
Sadhguru – It would be an opportunity to tap into a mindset where leadership isn’t just about strategy but also about self-awareness, balance, and true impact. I’d like to experience a completely different way of thinking—one that’s deeply rooted in wisdom, mindfulness, and inner peace.
9. If you were the CEO for a day, what would you change or introduce?
If I were CEO for a day, I’d introduce ‘No-Meetings Mondays.’ This is a day where everyone can focus on work without back-to-back calls.
On a lighter note …
10. What is your most memorable facepalm (embarrassing) moment?
Confidently placed my order for a chicken mayo sandwich—midway through a Teams call—only to realise I wasn’t on mute. Let’s just say my colleagues now know my lunch preferences!
11. When was the last time you laughed so hard?
Playing Nintendo with my niece; she’s competitive for an 8-year-old!
12. What is your guilty pleasure?
Haagen-Daz (Belgian Chocolate)
13. What is one thing people do not know about you?
I have a sneaker fetish. I’ll walk into a store looking for a shirt and somehow walk out with a pair of sneakers instead!
14. If you could invite one famous person (dead or alive) to dinner, who would it be and why?
I’d invite Morgan Freeman just so I could hear him narrate the entire dinner like a documentary. It would make even passing the salt sound legendary!
